Read-Only Over Money

Argos is the layer that supplies the judgment a rule cannot. It investigates every task before Nomos evaluates it: reading the treasury world model, tracing beneficiary hops, querying ANID lineage and cross-company reputation, scoring anomalies against the enterprise's own learned baseline.

Argos sees, Nomos decides.

Argos produces one output: a signed risk signal that Nomos verifies against a pre-registered signer. It can tighten a tier, trip an escalation, or feed the divergence gate. It cannot release funds. It holds no key, sits in no signing path, and has no path to custody. It may add friction. It can never remove it.
